“我的中国梦”全国英语征文活动正式启动，现将活动有关事项通知如下：

一、活动主办单位、承办单位及协办单位

　　主办：全国青联国际部、中国网

　　协办：中国高校传媒联盟、中国高校国际交流社团联谊会

　　二、征文主题及要求

　　“我的中国梦”全国英语征文活动以用文字记录和讲述亲历亲见的“中国梦”形式，体现和反映广大中国青年的爱国之心、报国之志和努力实现“中国梦”的感知与体会。具体要求如下：

(一) 征文以“我的中国梦”为主题，题材、体裁、风格不限，题目自拟，以英文撰写，附中文译文。

(二)征文内容围绕近代以来中国人民坎坷追梦历程的深刻启示，围绕新中国成立以来特别是改革开放30多年以来的辉煌成就和宝贵经验，用文字记录和讲述亲历亲见的“中国梦”，体现和反映广大中国青年的爱国之心、报国之志和努力实现“中国梦”的感知与体会，强化对自身责任和使命的认识，树立实干兴邦精神，努力实现中华民族伟大复兴的光荣梦想，建设持久和平、共同繁荣的和谐世界。

(三) 征文字数在3000字以内，须为作者本人原创，不得抄袭、改编。参加过其他征文活动并获奖的作品不能参评。获奖作品的版权归本活动主办方所有，获奖作品不能参加其他同类征文活动。

(四) 作品应符合国家法律要求，体现积极向上、健康文明的价值取向。不得出现不文明用语，不得有淫秽、暴力、恐怖等内容。

　　三、征文对象

　　全国在校大学生、35岁以下在职青年

　　四、奖励办法

　　根据参赛人数、评分标准评出一等奖2名、二等奖4名、三等奖6名。获奖者及指导老师均颁发证书。获奖者可获得随中国青年代表团出访的机会。获奖文章在中国网和全国青联英文网站发表。

　　五、征稿时间

　　征稿：2013年11月1日至12月20日(截稿时间)

　　六、报名方式

　　征文作品以电子邮件形式发送至：Wangyf@China.org.cn；或以书信形式邮寄至：北京市海淀区西三环北路89号中国外文大厦B座6层中国网英文部(邮编：100089)。来稿在信封或电子邮件主题中注明“征文”。截止时间以邮件发送时间或寄出邮戳时间为准。应征作品一律不予退稿，请作者自留底稿。

　　七、评选时间

　　本次征文活动由中国网组织专家于1月15日前对投稿进行评比。本次征文活动的获奖者名单将于1月25日公布。

'My Chinese Dream' National English Essay Competition opens

 The All-China Youth Federation and China.org.cn have jointly launched a national English Essay Writing Competition, open from Nov. 1 to Dec. 20.

The theme of the competition is 'My Chinese Dream,' and it is aimed at young people. College students and young people under the age of 35 in China are expected to participate in the competition.

 The competition is co-sponsored by the Media Association of China and the International Exchange Club Fraternity of China. It aims to enhance young people's awareness of their own responsibilities to rebuild the nation through hard work and bring about a harmonious world.

The essays should describe young people's perceptions of working hard to make the 'Chinese dream' come true and their patriotic dedication to the national rejuvenation cause.

 Essays should focus on the Chinese people pursuing their dreams in modern times, despite hardships, and the great progress that has been made since the founding of the People's Republic of China, particularly since the introduction of reform and opening policies. There are no restrictions on style or genre.

 Essays should be less than 3,000 words long. Candidates should write in English and attached a Chinese version. Candidates should demonstrate good values. Plagiarism will not be tolerated. Prize winning essays from other competitions should not be submitted.

 Incoming essays should be marked "Essay application" on the envelope or the email subject line. The date of the postmark or sending the email is subject to the deadline of the competition on Dec. 20, 2013. Applications will not be returned.

China.org.cn will organize a team of specialists to judge essays before Jan. 15, 2014. Two first prizes, four second prizes and six third prizes will be awarded to the best entries. Prize recipients will be announced on Jan. 25, 2014.

Recipients of prizes and their mentors will be presented with certificates and recipients of prizes will have an opportunity to travel with a delegation of Chinese youths. Prizewinning works will be published on China.org.cn and the official website of the All-China Youth Federation (http://www.acyf.org.cn/).

 Prizewinning works in this competition should not be submitted to other essay contests and the competition organizers will hold the copyrights to all prizewinning works.

 The organizers of the competition shall have the final authority.
